Following the tragic loss of our 6 month old kitten to poison, this is my memory of her. Dusty was her name as well as for this piece. A remembrance. The way I would see her if she were human like the face on the rice paper used.

Colours used were meant to mimic some of her fur, including the golden glow done with Frensheen Gorgeous Gold on Blackjack. Other Frenchic Furniture Paint colours used were Spitfire as a base, then blending of Sugar Puff, Stone Rosie and Posh Nelly. Stencilling on decoupage was done with Posh Nelly as well. After sealing everything with Finishing Coat, Browning Wax was used the get the carved details out.
